A 15 minute call costs you nothing and it is not a sales call with a different name. About a third of them end with me saying an assessment is not worth your money yet, and why.
Fifteen minutes, no charge
About a third of these calls end with me saying an assessment is not worth your money yet, and why. That is a useful outcome and it costs you a quarter of an hour.
Or email hello@localaiguy.ca. Reply within one business day.
Have these five things ready
None of them are required. All of them make the first call more useful than a general conversation about artificial intelligence.
- How many people work there, and how many of those touch a computer all day.
- The task everybody in the building complains about.
- What the busiest hour of your week looks like, and what breaks during it.
- Which software you already pay for. The answer is usually more than you think and it changes what a build costs.
- Whether anything you handle is personal information belonging to somebody else, because that changes the tooling.
Say so up front if
- You employ 25 or more people and you are hiring. Ontario job postings have carried an AI disclosure duty since January 1, 2026.
- You have already bought an AI tool and it is not being used. That is a different engagement and usually a cheaper one.
- You are applying for a Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan and need the work to line up with it.
- Somebody has quoted you a five figure number for something and you want a second opinion before you sign.
- You handle health, financial or client personal information, because that decides which tools are even eligible.
What happens next
If an assessment makes sense, it starts within about a week and takes 10 business days. It costs $999, and the whole fee comes off any build you go ahead with afterwards. What is inside the document is set out in full on the $999 assessment page.
If it does not make sense, I will say which of the other three services fits instead, or that none of them do. The cheapest is AI policy and staff training at $1,500 to $4,000, and it is the right answer more often than the marketing in this industry would suggest.
