Seasonality changes the arithmetic

A business that earns 70% of its revenue between May and October cannot carry a fixed monthly platform cost through the winter the way a year-round business can. That rules out a whole category of tooling on price alone, and it is the first thing I check in Niagara before recommending anything.

If you employ 25 or more people on the day a posting goes up, Ontario has required since January 1, 2026 that the posting state whether AI is used to screen, assess or select applicants. Seasonal employers post the most and are the least likely to have noticed. For the manufacturers in the city the picture is the standard one: quoting and customer document handling, as workflow automation, with the assessment deciding the order.
